Trailer Servicing

Just like your car, your trailer needs regular servicing and maintenance to identify any issues before they become a major safety concern. Trailers have a lot of moving parts that can wear out over time and become dangerous if not checked and replaced.

About us

When was the last time you had your trailer checked and serviced?

We recommend that all of our custom built trailers are first serviced at 10,000km or 12 months (whichever comes first).

We also recommend your trailer’s wheel bearings and brakes are serviced every 10,000 to 15,000 kilometres, or every 12 months if used infrequently.

Here at Smooth Moves we also offer a range of trailer servicing options; this will depend on the age, type and regularity of use. We use the same quality components on servicing trailers that we do when we build them. Generally, a service will include checking brakes, bearings, suspension, coupling, wheels, lights, wiring, plugs, welds and the chassis. Our full safety check and service will ensure your trailer is safe and isn’t putting yourself or others at risk when you are towing.

We will quote you for a general trailer service and safety check and contact you if there is anything not quoted for that may require replacement or repair on thorough inspection, or if we have other recommendations.
